§ 14-a. Same—Preparation and submission to council of annual budget.

At such time as council may direct, but not later than forty-five days before the end of each fiscal year, the city manager shall prepare and submit to the council for informative and fiscal planning purposes only, an annual budget for the ensuing year, based upon detailed estimates furnished by the several departments and other divisions of the city government according to a classification as nearly uniform as possible. The budget shall contain such other information as may be prescribed by council.
