§ 38-f. Residence of officers and employees.

Except as otherwise provided in this Charter, the council shall have the power to provide by ordinance the length of prior residence in the city, if any, which shall be required as a qualification for employment of regular, permanent officers and employees of the city, or any of them; and whether such officers and employees, or any of them, shall be required to reside within the city during their tenure in such office or employment.
