§ 1-7. Incorporation by reference.

All standard codes, rules, regulations and other subject matter herein or hereafter properly incorporated by reference, together with subsequent amendments thereto, pursuant to state law, and future incorporations by reference shall be kept and preserved in the office of the clerk of council. Whenever the City Code references a section in the Code of Virginia and such section number is changed by amendment to or recodification of the Code of Virginia, the reference in the City Code shall automatically incorporate and refer to the new section number in the Code of Virginia.
