§ 2-1. Corporate seal.

  • The corporate seal of the city shall be a design within a circle, one and three-quarter inches in diameter, representing a standing female figure, with a pair of scales in one hand and a cornucopia in the other, and a railway train in the background; in the exergue this inscription, "CORPORATION OF LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA." No other seal shall be used for the city, and no paper issued by municipal authority, which requires the seal of the city, shall be valid unless the seal prescribed above shall be duly affixed thereto.
