Every fire service connection from the public mains where the secondary supply is
of unapproved quality, shall be provided in compliance with all applicable state and
city laws and regulations and installed as to permit ready inspection and shall be
subject to the approval of the department of public works utilities division and fire
department. Fire service connections shall also conform to the requirements of Section
19-40.2 (Subsection F 410.0) of the fire prevention code.
