§ 5-3. Standards for vehicles, equipment and personnel.

(a)

Each ambulance shall, at all times when in use as such, must be licensed by the Virginia Department of Health and comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing emergency medical services in the Commonwealth of Virginia (12VAC 5-31).

(b)

Each approved ambulance vehicle, its equipment and the premises designated in the application and all records relating to its maintenance and operation as such, shall be open to inspection by the city manager or his designated representatives during usual hours of operation.

(c)

No official entry made upon a certificate may be defaced, removed or obliterated.

(d)

Each ambulance attendant and attendant-driver must meet the personnel requirements established by the Virginia Department of Health and comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing emergency medical services in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
